UK's AIHHP event brings array of speakers to Forest of Arden countryside

The UK audiology conference season continues this Friday, November 25 when the Association of Independent Hearing Healthcare Professionals (AIHHP) begins its two-day annual Hearing Expo at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Forest of Arden Country Club in Birmingham.

UK’s AIHHP event brings array of speakers to Forest of Arden countryside

Motivational thinking will kick off the event as Sir Clive Woodward OBE, former England rugby union player and England rugby coach from 1997 to 2004 shares stories from his career.The event also brings a series of workshops designed to foster business growth and best business practices. Attendees will also benefit from Pilates sessions, networking, and a Q&A session with hearing aid manufacturers.

The Expo also features the 15thannual Golden Lobe awards and Gala evening, a dinner-and-dance finale which this year features a new prize, the AIHHP Recognition Award for Outstanding Services to Audiology.

A speaker programme with a range of educational opportunites

The full programme for the AIHHP Expo includes the following speaker sessions:


  • Elisabeth Taunton, the UK’s leading wellbeing specialist for deaf and hard of hearing people who will be facilitating a workshop for front of house team members;
  • Emily Woodmansey, Managing Director of The Hearing Suite, who will be presenting on the pros and cons of business expansion;
  • Chris Cartwright, Director of Audiology at The Audiology Academy, who will be giving a presentation on the increased risk of falls for people with hearing impairment;
  • Nicholas Orpin, Services Delivery Manager from Hearing Dogs for Deaf People giving a presentation on what the charity does outside of providing hearing dogs;
  • Gavin Ingham, TEDx speaker, execution coaching, speaking on using the IAM10 high performance system to accelerate progress on priority projects;
  • Mike Stevenson from Thinktastic on why the best is yet to come, how the future will be the most exciting in human history;
  • Saima Rajasingam, Senior Lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University, who will be focusing on whether message framing can change people’s hearing health behaviours.
