It is news, but no surprise: the British Irish Hearing Instrument Manufacturers Association BIHIMA has cancelled its planned 2020 Conference "to prevent the spread of coronavirus and to comply with government instructions".

BIHIMA 2020 Conference cancelled

"It is the board’s hope to bring the sector together again, in person, in the not too distant future, but in the meantime we will continue to support the industry online," reads the announcement from BIHIMA Chairman Paul Surridge, who said the board's decision to cancel the event, scheduled to take place on 14-15 May 2020 at Edgbaston Cricket Ground, was made with "a heavy heart".

"We want to take this opportunity to encourage all our contacts and associates to stay safe, to follow government and company advice, and to focus on the brighter and stronger future that undoubtedly awaits our industry," said Surridge.
