ENT Congress in Paris brings you a new AWN special issue!

ENT World Congress

The great gathering of ENT specialists from all over the world starts in Paris this Saturday and Audiology Worldnews will be there to represent and guide the audiology experts who have travelled to the French capital for the event.

ENT Congress in Paris brings you a new AWN special issue!

As always, we appreciate the support of our hosts such as SFORL which, through Dr. Elisabeth Mamelle, handpicked a selection of conferences on audiology and otology to enable our readers to make the most of the event, and Dr. Milan Profant, IFOS’ General Secretary, who discussed the “added value” of this meeting.

Two approaches on tinnitus: brain imaging ant TINNET conference

One of the hottest topics in the medical and audiological fields is undoubtedly tinnitus. First, we take a look at a major tool for the diagnosis of this condition: brain imaging, with Dr. Fatima T. Husain, from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, US. Then, we focus on the exchange of experiences from the International Tinnitus Network (TINNET) in Spain –if you are interested in this topic, be sure to attend the conference chaired by Dr. Berthold Langguth on June 26–.

On another level, we also interviewed Italian surgeon Dr. Giuseppe Nicolò Frau, who described his recent experience of a bilateral implantation with reconstructive plastic surgery. Lastly, Audiology Worldnews continues to showcase new trends, with an interview with Richard van Hooijdonk from Holland about new technologies in general, and healthcare and hearing care in particular, and then, focusing on tools again, we also offer an overview of what is new in audiometric test booths.

We are excited to be able to guide our readers through this industry congress. We hope to interact with them both on Twitter @AudioWorldnews and in person, at stand 3.20B3, level 3, where we will be waiting for you. Moreover, for the first time ever, this issue will be distributed to the subscribers of this magazine’s “sister”, Audiology Infos France, for a special collaboration with the host country of this ‘can’t miss’ event.

Welcome to Paris!
