LONDON TO HOST MAJOR GLOBAL TINNITUS EVENTS IN 2027

London has been officially chosen to host the 4th World Tinnitus Congress (WTC) and the 15th International Tinnitus Seminar (ITS) from June 30 to July 2, 2027. The congress will be organised by the Hashir International Institute, with the central London venue to be announced later this year. This is the first time the WTC is to be held in the UK.

The joint events will unite leading experts from across the globe under the official theme, From Mechanism to Meaning — The ABC of Tinnitus. It will highlight the integration of auditory science, behavioural understanding, and clinical innovation as the foundational pillars of contemporary tinnitus care.

The scientific programme for 2027 will span eleven expert-led tracks: neuroscience and neurophysiology of tinnitus; cognitive, emotional, and psychological mechanisms; CBT and psychosocial interventions; genetics, biomarkers, and molecular mechanisms; neuromodulation and emerging therapies; audiological interventions and hearing technologies; somatosensory and multisensory influences; pharmacology and nutritional therapies; clinical phenotyping and subgroup analysis; medical and vascular aetiologies; consciousness, auditory imagery, and cultural perspectives.

Dr. Hashir Aazh, lead organiser, commented: “This is a turning point for tinnitus care and research in the UK. We’re proud to host a congress that brings together mechanism and meaning, science and lived experience, to create a more integrated future for tinnitus patients worldwide.”
