Presenter Alison Hammond boosts recruitment campaign for Specsavers' "vital" at-home hearing checks
In certain UK locations, Specsavers Home Visits has included free at-home hearing checks in addition to the NHS-funded eye tests the group performs. Carers acknowledge the benefits of the domiciliary service, according to a November survey carried out by OnePoll on behalf of Specsavers among 250 UK adults.

Specsavers' is now live with a recruitment campaign for its domiciliary eye and hearing services, and has recruited TV presenter Alison Hammond. The campaign is live across social media channels, available as a mini-series on YouTube, and will include Recruit TV advert premieres on Christmas Day on Channel 4 during the Great British Bake Off Christmas Special.
The push to boost its Home Visits teams follows on from a November survey carried out for Specsavers by OnePoll. The following stats are drawn from responses by 250 UK adults who engage as professional or unpaid (family) carers, and they show:
• Nearly half of carers say the people they care for have missed out on vital healthcare services because they require support getting to a store, clinic or hospital;
• 1 in 5 carers say the person they look after has experienced eyesight decline due to inability to get to a store;
