Bringing together all extant ex-presidents on one stage is a big organisational ask, but the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists all but pulled this off at its all-day London Connect 70th Anniversary party on September 26. This sell-out BSHAA bash in London celebrated the group's 70th year as a professional audiology association.

When the Sheraton Skyline Hotel was built a spitting distance from Heathrow Airport in 1971, the BSHAA - formed in 1954 as the Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists (SHAA) - was a pip of what it has grown into. Imagine those early gatherings to have been blessed with pineapple and cheese cubes on cocktail sticks, pens and paper, and hands up, are we all agreed, then sessions.
