High intensity blasts, prolonged noise exposure, lack of protection, the deleterious quality of military life - military personnel are at higher risk of developing tinnitus due to the high-decibel environments they are exposed to during training or active service, even in so-called peacetime operations.

Military tinnitus sufferers have a new hub for support and guidance

Tinnitus UK has partnered with the Veterans Welfare Group (VWG) to launch a brand-new online hub designed to support veterans, service personnel, and their families living with tinnitus. There are as many as half a million UK veterans who can benefit from this initiative.

The Armed Forces Tinnitus Hub offers trusted guidance, real-life experiences, and practical tools to help those affected by the condition, which impacts an estimated one in seven people in the UK, with military and veteran communities at particular risk due to noise exposure during service.
