Now's your opportunity to get involved

AOTY 2018

The prestigious Audiologist of the Year competition, now in its eleventh year, invites patients from across Europe to nominate their hearing practitioner by describing the difference they have made to their lives.

Now’s your opportunity to get involved

These heartfelt stories highlight the hard work of the country’s leading audiologists and why they deserve to be rewarded on an international stage.

The winning audiologist will join an exclusive circle of hearing care professionals who have won the coveted title over the past decade, including 10 European winners, 65 country winners and 264 audiologists commended throughout Europe. The competition is open to both private and public sector audiologists, who could find themselves recognised by some of the most prominent organisations in the hearing industry on an international stage.

Benefits of getting involved

European winner of the 2013 Audiologist of the Year Competition, Jaspreet Bahra from Harley Street Hearing, said: “Winning has had positives for the practice, in that it serves as a great endorsement of the work we do. When patients come into the practice and see the certificate it gives them more confidence that they are going to get a good service from us and many have congratulated me, which has been very nice to be on the receiving end of!

“It’s a great achievement to have under my belt and a big help by being recognised as someone who does their job well. It’s also really rewarding to be recognised for something I put so much effort into day in, day out.”

New for 2018, an updated pack and digital support including key assets such as posters, display boards, banners and social media posts are available to help audiologists promote the competition in their practices and via their networks.

Encouraging Participation

Encouraging your patients to vote needn’t feel forced or uncomfortable. The entry pack includes everything patients need to know and contains an array of promotional materials audiologists can introduce to their waiting rooms or offices to help encourage entries (table talkers, business cards posters and entry forms). Other ideas to raise awareness with your patients are to add the competition link from your website, add the competition details to your newsletter; maybe your customer care team could even advise patients when they are booking an appointment.

The competition is now open and will close on 6th July, 2018. For more information or to download the Audiologist of the Year materials, visit www.audiogistoftheyear.co.uk
