Auracast, the new Bluetooth audio standard, lets one transmitting device broadcast sound to an unlimited number of nearby devices. It is going to transform accessibility to information in public places, not least for people with hearing loss.
What is the biggest thing in many, many years to come along for people with hearing loss? Laurel Christensen, Chief Audiology Officer at GN Group is in no doubt: it’s Auracast, the new Bluetooth technology that was first included as a feature in hearing aids when the company launched Nexia in 2023.
