Leightons gets audiology and optometry breathing the same air
Audiologists, optometrists, dispensing opticians, and clinical support staff made up the 400+ professionals at a recent clinical education event held by Leightons Opticians & Hearing Care. The Oxygen 2025 Conference was the first time this retail group had brought optics and hearing care delegates together under the same roof.
Held at The Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre, the two-day event offered a comprehensive programme offering CPD for General Optical Council registrants and featuring 11 interactive sessions plus an additional nine tailored for the different audiences.

External delegates joined a series of three headline talks by internationally renowned audiologist and YouTube sensation, Dr .Cliff Olson:

Other event highlights included a deep dive into a lifetime journey through eye health from myopia management, paediatric eye care and dispensing, dry eye treatment and cataract. Clinical excellence was the theme across disciplines with expert speakers including Professor Nicola Logan, Dr Alicia Thompson and Sarah Farrant.
Interactive workshops, panel discussions and networking also fostered cross learning between the hearing and vision teams, highlighting the benefits of integrated patient services.
