22.69 million hearing aids sold globally in 2024 – figures from major manufacturers

Up 4% on 2023, figures for global unit sales in hearing instruments have been greeted with satisfaction by industry leaders. 

The European Hearing Instrument Manufacturers Association (EHIMA) recently announced the consolidated sales figures of its member companies for the year 2024. The data reveals a continued upward trend in demand for professionally fitted hearing instruments, signaling increasing awareness of hearing health and the benefits of modern hearing technologies.

According to EHIMA’s latest data, member companies collectively sold 22.69 million hearing aids in 2024, marking a 4% increase compared to 2023. This growth underscores the ongoing efforts to address hearing loss through early intervention and accessible audiological care.
