Hearing Heroes - the comeback!
World Hearing Day (March 3) gave battery manufacturer Rayovac a perfect date for the relaunch of its Hearing Heroes campaign, a celebration of professionals who go the extra miles in their work.
The Energizer Holdings battery brand is again on the lookout for the kind of inspirational individuals who were recognised in their 2023 edition of Hearing Heroes, which picked out individuals from different countries across Europe and North America, including the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Canada and the United States.
Among those nominated in 2023 was Steven Hale, audiologist at Steven Hale Hearing in Birmingham, U.K., who received nominations from Jack Hodgson, a member of the Paralympic British Judo team, as well as several others.
“It was an honour to be nominated as a RAYOVAC Hearing Hero in 2023. Knowing that my work is making a difference in people’s lives makes it all the more rewarding,” said Steven.
“I’m delighted that providing support, equipment and services to Jack has contributed to his training and overall well-being. This campaign is fantastic, helping recognise and champion anyone supporting the hard-of-hearing community. If you know anyone who has supported you in some way to help you with your hearing loss, it is truly worth nominating them as a Hearing Hero and helping raise awareness of the hearing care industry.”

To nominate a Hearing Hero, click here between March 1 and April 19, 2024. From here, visitors can put forward their nominations and words of thanks.
To help raise awareness, RAYOVAC has also created a suite of useful resources for hearing care personnel to download and use in their practice to make sure everyone knows about the RAYOVAC Hearing Heroes 2024, and how they can get involved. This toolkit for hearing care professionals contains everything they might need to let their patients know how they can nominate. The nominees will all be revealed in an online Hall of Hearing Heroes starting fromMay 1.
