Unitron wins iF product design award 2014

iF International Forum Design GmbH is an international provider of design services. The group also runs the well-known iF design competitions for products, packaging, and communication, open to a wide range of organizations and individuals including manufacturers, designers, entrepreneurs, architects, and developers. Its annual awards in these areas are a mark of design quality recognized worldwide.

A jury of experts and renowned designers evaluate projects entered into the iF competitions on the basis of criteria such as design, quality, finish, choice of materials, and degree of innovation. This year, the hearing solutions provider Unitron was awarded the iF product design prize 2014 for its Moxi Kiss hearing instrument. The product was chosen as one of the winners among more than 3,200 entries. Moxi Kiss has an organic, fluid form and has been rated highly by users for comfort, overall design and shape.

“We are very proud to have Moxi Kiss recognized with an iF product design award. To be selected amongst a field of thousands is indeed an honor, and a clear recognition of our team’s focused commitment to creating both an esthetically pleasing and highly functional hearing instrument," says Jan Metzdorff, President of Unitron. Ara Talaslian, Vice President of Research and Development at Unitron adds, “The hearing instrument's outer shell was meticulously designed, including precision of the tooling to the micron level and a G2 curvature to ensure a luxurious finish.”

Unitron is a member of the Sonova Group with its headquarters in Canada, and distributes hearing instruments to customers in over 60 countries.
