Oticon expands Opn with new Power Options and New Performance Levels

Oticon has announced new additions to its award-winningOpn hearing aid.

Unveiled as the world’s first internet connected hearing aid capableof connecting directly to a range of smart devices, the Opn familynow features three performance levels to give consumers even moreflexibility accessing Oticon’s open sound experience.

“The expanded Opn family takes our BrainHearing™ technology tothe next level with a unique combination of technologies that worktogether to expertly manage multiple speech and noise sources,” saysSøren Nielsen, President, Oticon A/S. “By giving the brain accessto important sounds in noisy environments, Opn reduces listeningeffort and frees up mental energy.”*

Each of the hearing aids is capable of connecting to a wide range ofsmart devices through the Oticon ON App, allowing users to controlOpn from their smartphone and connect to other internet-enableddevices. Users create “recipes” using the IFTTT.com service tointeract with smart technologies such as smart doorbells that alertthem when someone is at the door or to schedule low battery alerts,medicine reminders, weather reports and calendar appointments.Opn also offers a wide range of connectivity possibilities to communicationand entertainment devices and services. Wireless, streamer-freeconnectivity turns Opn into a stereo headset, streaming sound andmusic from smartphones, TV, laptops and more.
