Partnership

As part of its development in India, Amplifon has chosen Rediffusion Y&R for its creative communication needs in the country, according to Television Post.

Amplifon has a strong presence in India with a team of over 200 audiology professionals and operations in more than 76 Indian cities, with more than 200 clinics. The group sells a wide range of international hearing aid brands with a broad selection in terms of budget.

“We have been through an intense evaluation process and have decided to award the business to Rediffusion Y&R, on the strength of understanding our business, and having the right direction on concepts and strategy,” says Samit Varma, CEO at Amplifon. Amplifon’s Marketing Director, Shveta Paul, says that although the hearing care segment is still small in India, it has seen very rapid growth, especially in urban areas. He believes that the Indian market is now ready to start looking more towards international brands, like Amplifon. “It is this rise in awareness and our leadership position that we at Amplifon have to maintain and take the brand to new heights,” he adds.

“It is an honor to be associated with Amplifon. Our team is excited to work on this account. We look forward to creating great work together,” comments Rediffusion Y&R Group President Dhunji Wadia. Rediffusion Y&R is one of the largest advertising agencies in India and clients include Tata Motors, CitiBank, and Novartis. Rediffusion Y&R is part of the Young & Rubicam network, a global creative company operating in some 91 countries.
