Most of the June/July issue of Audio Infos UK was dedicated to the recent AAA2018 conference in America, with an overview of the latest products and innovations on show and a report on the hot topics of discussion in the lecture halls and corridors.
The issue also featured details of the first conference organised by the British Irish Hearing Instrument Manufacturers Association (BIHIMA). Held in Birmingham in May, a couple of hundred hearing aid dispensers, and manufacturer representatives spent two days hearing from futurologists, technology experts and a panel of research and development speakers from the main manufacturer members of BIHIMA. The British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists were also involved and held their AGM during the event and tool responsibility for some of the education programme.
It is worth hearing care professionals taking time to look at the research work being undertaken by the small team at Deafness Support Network. A brief report on the charity’s latest work is included in this issue; further coverage will appear in future issues.
