Siemens acquires Turkish distributor Duysan

Siemens has acquired Duysan Audiology, one of the most important players in the Turkish healthcare industry, and specialist in hearing aids. The company, which has been a Siemens distributor for hearing aids since 2003, will now operate under the name Siemens İşitme Cihazları San. ve Tic. A.Ş.

Located in Istanbul, Duysan Audiology has five branches in İstanbul, Izmir, Ankara, Bursa and Amasya and employs nearly 40 people. In addition to these branches, Duysan Audiology offers services to its customers through its nearly 200 dealers, thus making significant contributions to employment in the healthcare industry.

“Siemens aims at global leadership in all sectors it operates in,” says Hüseyin Gelis, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Siemens. “We plan to maintain this approach in the area of hearing aids as well. Within this scope, we have acquired Duysan Audiology, a proven company that has been a Siemens distributor. We will keep contributing to the health of Turkish people by further expanding this successful team.”

Oğuzhan Heptürkistan will continue to serve as the CEO of Siemens İşitme Cihazları San. ve Tic. A.Ş. Eser Turunçkapı, one of most experienced employees of Siemens in the healthcare industry, will serve as the CFO of Siemens İşitme Cihazları San. ve Tic. A.Ş.
