Growth and Expansion
The USA's biggest hearing aid manufacturer, Starkey, has opened its first office in Spain, taking space in Barcelona's architecturally imposing Torre Glòries.
According to Starkey's website, its new Spanish team is to be led by Jokin Garmendia. The new offices are on the 27th floor of this 38-storey iconic skyscraper, the gateway to the city's new technology district.
As General Manager of the team, Jokin Garmendia brings to the post more than ten years of experience in sales and marketing, and leading teams within the medical equipment industry. Luiz Sanz has also joined the team as Regional Business Development Director. Sanz has more than 20 years in the hearing health sector as well as other positions in wholesale and retail hearing health organisations, Starkey details. Salvador Conde will serve as sales representative, while Suyin Aranibar will manage the Starkey Spain office as a member of the Spain wholesale team handling admin, operation, and commercial support.
"We are excited to continue the expansion of Starkey’s global footprint with our newest facility in Spain,” said Brandon Sawalich, President and CEO of Starkey. “The new team brings a deep knowledge of the hearing healthcare industry, as well as expertise in customer service and operations, that will help drive shared success with our customers in the Spanish market for years to come," affirmed Sawalich.
