Sivantos Ibérica emerges in Spain following AS Ibérica union

The firm AS Ibérica Soluciones Auditivas, based in Las Rozas (Madrid), has joined Grupo Sivantos as a strategic partner and will now continue in the marketplace as Sivantos Ibérica, say sources at the company.
To date, it has been the main distributor of Audio Service in Spain, specialist in Sivantos hearing solutions.
“On becoming part of the Sivantos group, we feel backed up by their strength as one of the main worldwide producers,” stated Miguel Sánchez, appointed General Manager of Sivantos Ibérica.
Meanwhile, director of Audio Service, Thomas Mettang, added: “There are going to be many positive changes for our Spanish customers. We aim to improve quality of service. Guarantees related to the current product will not be affected.”
Audio Service appeared on the Spanish market through its international sales department in 1995. In June, 2013, AS Ibérica Soluciones Auditivas, was founded by Winfried Arz, who developed and successfully increased Audio Service sales in Spain, and who cooperated actively in the transition.
Business operations of the old Siemens AG hearing aid division were developed from early 2015 as Grupo Sivantos, sources at the group have declared. For 140 years, Sivantos – formerly Siemens – “has contributed its knowledge to German engineering with innumerable global innovations. Today Sivantos is one of the main hearing aid producers worldwide,” the sources underline. With close to 6,000 employees, the group filed a 2016/2017 income of 967m euros and an EBITDA of 238m euros. Sivantos’ international business wing supplies product to hearing care professionals in more than 120 countries. The firm aims to become the market leader in the coming years through its brands, Signia, Siemens, Audio Service, Rexton, A & M, HearUSA and Audibene, say the same sources.
Sivantos is ultimately owned by the investment group EQT, along with the Strüngmann family as coinvestor. Sivantos GmbH is a licence of the Siemens AG brand.
