Otifleks' tinnitus prevention technology to arrive in US

Agreement

This May, ADM Tronics Unlimited, Inc. announced that its subsidiary, Aurex International Corporation (AIC), had signed an agreement with Gama Research and Development (also known as Otifleks) to develop and manufacture proprietary tinnitus prevention earplugs.

Otifleks’ tinnitus prevention technology to arrive in US

Otifleks is a leading producer of advanced hearing protection devices and part of the deal is for AIC to market and sell Otifleks’s current line of devices. Otifleks produces a range of specialized hearing protection devices for military, medical, and civil applications, e.g. for people with pressure sensitivity during plane travel. The products are available throughout Europe and will now be marketed by AIC in the United States.

Otifleks is based in Istanbul, Turkey, and has been recognized internationally for several of its innovations. Dr. Hamit Kuralkan, founder and CEO of Otifleks, said in a statement, “I look forward to this collaboration with AIC and ADMT. We will strive to develop a state-of-the-art product to protect people from the debilitating onset of tinnitus.”

AIC is working on a new Aurex-3 device, which will be regulated as a prescription product to be used for the treatment and control of tinnitus. The product is patented and FDA-cleared.

Dr Mark Brenner, CEO of ADMT subsidiary AIC, said, “We are extremely excited about the potential for a tinnitus prevention technology as part of our offerings from AIC. The addition of tinnitus preventative products, alongside tinnitus treatment technology, provides a holistic approach to the complex health service challenge that tinnitus presents. Otifleks is an excellent partner to work with in bringing this to the world market, as well as for us to produce revenues with the Otifleks current line of hearing protection products.”
