Changes in Starkey’s management team in Europe

Already on October 1 last year, the overall responsibility for all European Starkey affiliates and distributors in Western and Eastern Europe was delegated to Thorsten Quaas. To enable Quaas to fulfil this new role and at the same time to ensure that Starkey Germany continues to be managed successfully, Markus Böcker was appointed as authorized officer and division manager in the field of sales and marketing, and Jörn Ruge as authorized officer and division manager in the field of finance and operations.

Both Böcker and Ruge will represent Thorsten Quaas in his continued function as Managing Director of Starkey Laboratories Germany GmbH, functionally and hierarchically in all areas. Quaas will also hold the position of Managing Director for the Hamburg site. Markus Böcker has built a strong sales team at Starkey Laboratories since 2012, and thus significantly increased the company’s market share and revenues. In addition, he has excellent market knowledge.

Jörn Ruge has successfully restructured the financial division at Starkey Laboratories in a short time and through field knowledge, discipline and strong organization, he has made it a very effective department within the group. The two executives are the perfect line-up for these top positions because of their long-term experience in their respective areas of expertise, and because of their command of internal processes with managerial responsibilities.
