EHIMA elects new board

At the annual ordinary general assembly the European Hearing Instrument Manufacturers Association (EHIMA) elected a new board for the coming two years.
As their new President, the assembly elected Sonova CEO Dr. Lukas Braunschweiler (born in 1956, Swiss citizen). Lukas Braunschweiler joined the Sonova Group as CEO in 2011. Before joining the company, he was CEO of the Swiss technology group RUAG and from 2002 to 2009 President & CEO of Dionex Corporation. Prior to this, he worked from 1995 to 2002 in various group executive positions in Switzerland and the US for Mettler Toledo.
Lukas Braunschweiler received a Master of Science in analytical chemistry (1982) and was awarded a Ph.D. in physical chemistry (1985) from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, Switzerland.
As the new vice-president, the assembly elected GN Resound CEO Anders Hedegaard (born in 1960, Danish citizen).He joined GN Resound as a CEO in August 2014. Prior to this he worked as CEO of Bavarian Nordic (2007-2014), Executive Vice President of ALK-Abelló (2002-2007) and Group Vice President of FOSS (200-2002).
His educational background is an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the The Technical University of Denmark.
