AudiologyNOW! Day 1: A full-on day of lectures, updates and launches

Wednesday 13th April and thousands of audiologists and industry professionals arrived in Phoenix, Arizona for the 28th annual conference of the American Academy of Audiology.
There was a full slate of sessions that included Learning Labs, Industry updates, the Academy Research Conference (ARC) and the Student Academy of Audiology conference. Industry Symposia also took place, which three companies spending the afternoon discussing their latest products, technology updates and service solutions.
Delegates could choose form Care Credit, ReSound or Starkey to spend the afternoon with. Oticon took the opportunity to launch their new product Opn to investment analysts and journalists, before showing all delegates on the show floor. Described by Soren Nielsen as “A paradigm shift,” this is a product that will surprise and intrigue.
Oticon is one of 170 companies who have exhibition space at the conference and Wednesday evening saw people queueing to get into ‘Celebrate Audiology’ the opening of the exhibit hall with an exciting evening of networking and delicious food and drink right in the exhibit hall.
