The BAA looks forward to welcoming audiology professionals to their annual conference in Harrogate on 26th and 27th November. An exciting and diverse programme has been designed to appeal to all hearing care professionals for the event at the Harrogate International Centre. A broad portfolio of speakers from around the world has been selected to enthuse and inspire professionals from a wide variety of backgrounds. This year’s focus and theme is ‘INNOVATE – INTEGRATE - INITIATE’ which the academy believes will provide inspiration for new and innovate ways of working that can be integrated and initiated on your return to your clinic on Monday morning.

The main topic areas that will be addressed in 2015 are Implantable Technologies, Auditory Processing Disorders, Ageing and Cognition, Tinnitus, Adult Rehabilitation, Professional Development, Medical Audiology, Education, Supervision and Preceptorship, Paediatrics, Vestibular Disorders, Diagnostic Audiology and Counselling. This year’s Bamford Lecture will be given by Dr Susan Scollie, Associate Professor for Wester National Centre for Audiology.

Following the success of previous years, the BAA will continue with a dedicated student element to the conference along with a section for Assistant and Associate Audiologists with a theme of ‘Tinnitus and Rehabilitation’.

As always, the BAA Annual Conference plays host to the largest audiology exhibition in the UK and they will also take the time to celebrate the achievements of colleagues across the UK as the BAA will be presenting awards to those individuals who have been recognised for their achievements.
