Audiology professionals will soon be converging in the City of San Antonio, Texas for the 2015 American Academy of Audiology Congress - AudiologyNOW!.
The global gathering of more than 6,000 audiologists, hearing aid dispensers, doctors, presenters, exhibitors and students will start on Wednesday 25th March at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center and will run until Saturday 28th.
This year’s conference theme is ‘Steer with Success’. Programme Chair Dr Helena Solodar explained to Audiology Worldnews, “Like no other sector, the audiology sector is knowledge-driven. Therefore we offer just that: clinical data, practical know-how, knowledge and insight that can be brought back to the office the following week in order to boost success.”
The three and a half days of conference will feature eight separate learning labs, 34 featured sessions, 43 industry updates, 20 exhibitor courses, 33 research podiums, 98 learning modules, 20 student sessions and 200 posters. Add to that 170 exhibitors spread across 300,000 square feet of exhibit space, there truly is something for everyone, whatever their audiology speciality. The ‘Steer with Success’ theme is also a reference to the Texas longhorn cattle as the 2015 event is in San Antonio, Texas where a visit to the rodeo is a must for visitors. Delegates should also check out the San Antonio River Walk, the number one tourist attraction in Texas and home to hundreds of restaurants and visitor attractions.
For a second year, Audiology Worldnews is delighted to offer AudiologyNOW! delegates a special print issue that can be found around the conference centre. Our editorial team has compiled the latest news and articles from across the globe to whet the appetite. An interview with Dr Helena Solodar, Programme Chair for AudiologyNOW! 2015 opens the issue. The magazine also includes an article by wireless experts who believe that hearing aids are leading the way when it comes to wireless technologies, a special marketing and demographics feature from a social media guru and an in-depth look at Tinnitus and physiotherapy. There are many other articles, including a round-up of some of the new technologies you can expect to see in the exhibit hall ― so make sure you pick up a copy of the Audiology Worldnews AudiologyNOW! Special Issue. And if you couldn't make it to San Antonio, have a look at our Special Issue here.
